FOUNDED
Founded in 1949, Leon N. Weiner & Associates, Inc. (LNW&AI) has built and developed a variety of housing, from high-rise and garden apartments to a full range of townhouses and single family homes. The company has been a pioneer in the development, management and preservation of affordable housing, providing attractive and safe homes for thousands of families. Commercial projects include a number of hotels, offices and retail centers. In cities and in suburbs throughout the Mid-Atlantic, New England and Ohio Valley states, developments by LNW&AI are visible reminders of the company's commitment to quality and innovation.
 
HOME BUILDING
Over the years, LNW&AI has built and sold over 5,000 single-family, detached and attached homes in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Designed to meet a variety of lifestyles, these homes range from moderately priced town homes to semi-custom single family homes. LNW&AI's construction standards combine quality, innovation, functionality and environmental sensitivity. The company has also played a leading role in urban redevelopment and continues to participate in the revitalization of city neighborhoods in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
 
LAND DEVELOPMENT
Land development has complemented LNW&AI's home building activities. Whether for its own building activity or for sale to other builders, the company has developed small subdivisions to large master-planned communities with thousands of homes, apartments and commercial space. Prime examples are the 1,200-acre planned community of Pike Creek in northwestern New Castle County, Delaware, which contains mixed-use developments of town homes, apartments, single family homes, condominiums, recreation areas and commercial centers. Another community is Wilton in New Castle County, Delaware with more than 2,300 single family, attached, condominiums, apartments and the county's first Wal-Mart.
 
AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Early in his building career, Leon N. Weiner recognized that "People from every corner of every state, from every walk of life and economic circumstance share a common need . . . a common dream . . . a decent, safe and affordable place to call home, be that place owned or rented." Not only did Leon N. Weiner advocate for policies that would help families recognize that dream but, through his business, helped make it a reality for thousands of families and seniors of modest means. The company's principals and associates remain committed to continuing Leon's legacy. To date, that commitment has yielded nearly 10,000 affordable apartments and homes for senior citizens and families in more than 10 states.
 
AFFORDABLE HOUSING PRESERVATION
In keeping with its core mission, LNW&AI, and its related company Renewal Housing Associates, LLC, has aggressively pursued the acquisition, recapitalization and rehabilitation of over 1,500 apartments to ensure their long-term viability as homes for low- and middle-income families and seniors.
 
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
As the property management affiliate for LNW&AI, Arbor Management, LLC (Arbor) is responsible for the continued success of nearly 4,500 apartment units. Arbor is dedicated to meeting the needs of its tenants through highly professional management practices and careful maintenance.

In an effort to bring the highest level of professionalism to their positions, senior managers for Arbor have acquired their Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Registered Apartment Manager (RAM) designations and are engaged in continuing education and training. Arbor has been listed among the top ten property management firms in the country by the National Center for Housing Management and has consistently taken extra steps to enhance the lives of its residents by providing an innovative selection of cultural, social and educational enrichment programs within its communities.

LNW&AI is an expert in successfully bringing together the financial resources necessary to see deals through to completion.
